Philanthropists Donate Jogging Masks & Face Masks for Use among Tri Service Troops

Puritas (Pvt) Ltd was the latest among donors to extend appreciative gestures to the armed forces, engaged in COVID-19 control work when a few of those representatives this morning (10) called on Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army at the Army HQ to donate a stock of exclusive jogging/running masks and face masks that can be used by tri-service troops. This was the 5th as such, totalling to 14,000 face masks within this year.

Those jogging masks of high quality can be used during routine and compulsory physical training sessions at a time the risks involved in COVID-19 epidemic are looming large. Those lightweight, breathable, moisture-wicking and adjustable masks are made of polyester and elastane which give them a perfect amount of stretch. The new product is an incentive, extended to the troops, the Commander of the Army was told. "We are proud of this 100% Sri Lankan made product with proven test results obtained from internationally recognized laboratories, for Bacteria and Virus Filtration Efficiency. This reusable mask is at the highest peak of development over the 18 years of face masks manufactured by the company," the donors told.

Likewise, the stock of new face masks, gifted to the Army by them too features wide elastic head straps that adjust easily and effectively at reducing the spread of germy particles, those donors told the recipient. Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva thanked the donors for their thoughtfulness and their concern towards service personnel and appreciated their gesture.

Eashan Samarasinghe Executive (Logistics) Puritas (Pvt) Ltd, Channa Wijethunga, Manger (Activated Carbon products), Puritas (Pvt) Ltd, Manura Wickramasinghe, Deputy General Manager , Puritas (Pvt) Ltd were at the venue with the army chief .
