S/752771 Sgt Harshana WKP of 17 Engineer Services Regiment has successfully completed the Non Commissioned Officers' Course 67 at Non Commissioned Officers' Academy - Bangladesh as the first Other Ranker in Corps of Engineer Services history.

The 70 anniversary of 1 Engineer Services Regiment was held at RHQCES Panagoda on 1 August 2020. As the most senior logistic regiment of Sri Lanka Army, the proceedings of anniversary functions held as traditions including Guard Turnout to CO, Parade to CO, Tree planting, All Ranks tea and All Ranks Lunch according to Covid 19 special instructions laid by Army Headquarters.

A total of 10 individuals from the RHQ CES managed Mahinda Rajapaksha Stadium Quarantine Centre – Diyagama left for their homes on 12 July 2020 after completion of 14 days quarantine process under medical procedures, conduct of PCR tests on them and receipt of their Quarantine Certificates. The expatriates are from India and England.

5 Corps of Engineer Services (CES) troops of the Security Force HQ-Jaffna on the directions given by Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna constructed a spacious vehicle shelter for hospital staff and the public inside the hospital compound at the request of hospital authorities.
