The Corps of Engineer Services celebrated its 71st anniversary at the Corps of Engineer Services Regimental Headquarters at Panagoda on 10 January 2021. Major General R Ganegoda psc the Director General Engineer Services and the Colonel Commandant CES graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and he was welcomed by Brigadier K M S Kumara the Centre Commandant CES at the main entrance of the Corps of Engineer Services Regimental Headquarters. After receiving the Guard Turnout accorded to the Colonel Commandant, he placed floral tributes at the Corps of Engineer Services War Heroes Memorial in honour of fallen War Heroes.Thereafter, in accordance with military formalities, a Guard of honour was held in salute of the Colonel Commandant.

The 4th Engineer Services Regiment celebrated its 24th Unit Day on 21 August 2020 at 4th Engineer Services Regimental Headquarters in Panadura. The Unit Day celebration was commenced with a Guard Turnout and a Ceremonial Parade conferred to the Commanding Officer of 4th Engineer Services Regiment Lieutenant Colonel PN Wijesuriya CES. A number of entertainment events and games had been organized for the troops and the civil servants. The Unit Day celebration was followed by an All Ranks Lunch.
