  • JCC TEAM 3 BAGS VICTORY AT 2021/2 OCDC CRICKET TOURNAMENT

    OCDC held their much-anticipated Cricket Tournament on Sunday, 25 July 2021 at OCDC playground with the aspiration of boosting team spirit and organising capability among the student officers. The teams comprised from the courses and the permanent staff.

  • OCDC RENOVATES THE MAIN AUDITORIUM

    In correspondence to the re-designation of OCDC as the Army War College, the College began its infrastructure development recently. As per the scheduled development plan, the newly renovated Auditorium declared open on 14 June 2021 by the Commandant of Officer Career Development Centre, Major General DBSN Bothota RWP RSP USP psc. The Deputy Commandant, Chief Instructor, Senior Instructors, Commanding Officer Admin Wing and the members of the Permanent Staff graced the occasion.

  • THE COMMANDANT INSPECTS THE ONGOING DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

    In correspondence to the re-designation of OCDC as the Army War College, the College began its infrastructure development recently. As per the scheduled development plan, the renovation of the Auditorium as well as carpeting the internal road network of the camp commenced on 03rd with the collaboration of the Road Development Authority, Buttala and the Engineer Division.

  • OCDC COMMENCES COURSES FOR THE SECOND SEMESTER

    Being the military seat of excellence, the Officer Career Development Centre commenced Senior Command Course 2, Junior Command Course 21 and Junior Staff Course 21 on 03 May 2021with the intension of enhancing military professionalism among army officers.

  • OCDC BIDS FAREWELL TO THE OUTGOING COMMANDANT

    OCDC organized a farewell party to outgoing Commandant and the Colonel of the Regiment, Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Major General K J Jayaweera RWP RSP USP rcds at Officer Career Development Centre premises, Buttala on 26 November 2020.This glamorous event was graced by the commandant and his beloved family members.

  • THE FIRST SENIOR COMMAND COURSE AND JUNIOR STAFF COURSE 20 COMMENCES

    Being the military seat of excellence, the Officer Career Development Centre commenced Senior Command Course 1 and Junior Staff Course 20 on 04 January 2021 with the extreme intension of enhancing military professionalism among Army Officers. The Senior Command Course comprises 36 officers in the ranks of Lieutenant Colonel and Major and 57 student officers from Junior Staff Course in the ranks of Captain and Lieutenant inclusive of 5 lady officers.

  • OCDC CELEBRATES SEVENTY THIRD INDEPENDENCE DAY

    Keeping in line with the whole nations celebrations, OCDC celebrated the 73rd Independence Day to commemorate the declaration of the sovereignty from the British rule in 1948, with the participation of Acting Commandant, Chief Instructor, Senior Instructors, Senior Officers, Permanent Staff and all the Student Officers.

    Officer Career Development Centre (OCDC) successfully conducted the college Hash Run with the purpose of promoting team building, organising capabilities and entertainment among the student officers of SCC 1, JCC 20 and JSC 20 by strictly adhering to COVID 19 health measures on 23 January 2021.
