COMMANDANT ARMY WAR COLLEGE EDUCATED STUDENT OFFICERS ON ‘MILITARY LEADERSHIP'

Major General UKDDP Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, the Commandant of the Army War College (AWC), conducted an imperative lecture on the subject of ‘Military Leadership’ in keeping with the timetable of Senior Command Course No.9 (SCC-9) and Junior Command Course No.28 (JCC – 28) as programmed on 20 September 2023.

Altogether 88 Student Officers of SCC-9 and JCC-28 together Chief Instructor, all Senior Instructors, and members of the Faculty and Permanent Staff attended the lecture that amply elaborated on the important areas under the leadership qualities, traits and methodology of applying leadership approaches

Moreover, this significant lecture broadly discussed, specially, about the innovative approaches to build integrity, discipline as well as to develop and improve knowledge in order to effectively execute the mission command concept in ground. Whilst deeply discussing the basics relating to the theme in the present day context, he also elaborated on the techniques of handling and managing the situations, thus enhancing the thinking capacity of the military personnel. Student officers also obtained opportunities to interact with the lecturer and clear their doubts during the Question and Answer session that took place at the end of the session
