The Junior Command Course 24 dominated the second Cricket Tournament of Army War College held on 28 May 2022. Team C of Junior Command Course captained by Major Gayan Kaburugamuwa became the champions of the tournament and team B of Junior Command Course 24 led by Major Tharinda Adhikari became the runners up.

The Army War College commenced the second set of courses for year 2022 with a short yet a notable opening ceremony on 02 May 2022. Under three separate courses namely Senior Command Course (SCC), Junior Command Course (JCC) and Junior Staff Course, 145 Student Officers in total, have reported to the College in order to undergo respective training Courses.

The A Team of JCC 23 led by Captain Pubudu Rathnayake became the champions of the Basketball Tournament by defeating the A Team of SCC 4 led by Major Harsha Wickramanayake at the finals held at the College Basketball Court on 29 March 2022. The final score was 67 - 41.

The Student Officers of Senior Command Course 4 visited important Government Ministries and military organisations in Colombo to get acquainted with their functions and duties from 21 to 23 March 2022.

The second Diners’ Club of the first trimester of year 2022 on ‘Is Sri Lanka Ready for the Fifth Generation Warfare’ was held on 19 March at the Open Air Wing of the Army War College. The guest speaker was a reputed defence analyst and researcher, Mr. Nilanthan Niruthan. 170 officers including student officers permanent staff participated in the event.

The first Hash Run of the War College was successfully held on 27 February 2022 by strictly adhering to COVID 19 health protocols. The aim of the Hash Run is to promote comradery and organising capabilities of the Student Officers of Senior Command Course 4 and Junior Command Course 23.

Team B of Junior Command Course 23 Captained by Major Danushka Edirisinghe became the champions of the tournament and team A of Junior Command Course 23 led by Major Priyankara Silva became the runners up.
