A TEAM OF UN REPRESENTATIVES VISITS TO SRI LANKA FORCE PROTECTION COMPANY IN LEBANON

A special representative team from the United Nations Headquarters in New York visited the Sri Lanka Force Protection Company in Lebanon and conducted a comprehensive Assessment/ Evaluation on Protection of Sexual Exploitation and Abuses on Wednesday (05) June 2024.

Lt Col Darshana Vithanage RSP VIR, the Commanding Officer of Sri Lanka Force Protection Company in Lebanon warmly welcomed the UN special representative team. Afterward, the evaluation process was conducted by the Officers of Gender Focal Point. Therein, the team paid special attention to the measures taken to prevent sexual exploitation and abuses, and sexual misconduct along with its mechanism under United Nations standards.
