SRI LANKAN TROOPS OF 16TH SLFPC CONTINGENT ATTENDS IN THE RESERVE INTEGRATION TRAINING EXERCISE (RITEX) AS ROLE PLAYERS IN NAQOURA CAMP, UNIFIL

Continuing Sri Lanka’s steadfast commitment to global peace and stability, the 16th Contingent of the Sri Lanka Force Protection Company (SLFPC) after assuming peacekeeping duties officially under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) attended as role players for Patrolling, CASEVAC and Denial of Freedom of Movement activities along with the Indonesian Force Protection Unit and Malaysian Battalion in scenarios created as IED explosion followed by ambush and escorting the CASEVAC. Sri Lankan peacekeepers comprising two Officers and 16 Other Ranks attended the exercise along with two Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC), and exercise was conducted on 16 and 17 July 2025
