In line with a concept of the President of the Sinha Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch, a programme was organized to appreciate the dedicated service of Other Ranks serving under various projects of the “Sinha Diriya Piyasa Project Centre”, as well as the staff of the Sinha Seva Vanitha Branch. In conjunction with the Sinhala and Hindu New Year, gifts were presented to each recipient as a token of appreciation. The programme was conducted on 10 April 2026 at the Regimental Centre of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment under the patronage of Mrs. Yamuna Abeykoon, President of the Sinha Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch.

Major General AMC Abeykoon RWP RSP USP ndc, the Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment assumed duties as the Master General Ordnance at Army Headquarters on 06 April 2026. The senior officer auspiciously took over duties amidst religious observances and placed his signature in an official document to signify the acceptance of his new office.

The event was attended by senior officers and officers of the Regiment.

The Inter Battalion Bicycle Tournament – 2026 was successfully conducted by the 20th Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment on 14 February 2026. Competing against 44 participants, a rifleman from the 20th Battalion secured first place, demonstrating exceptional endurance, discipline, and competitive spirit.
