On 19 December 2024, a total of 68 students and 5 teachers from Hindu College Jaffna, Tamil Central College Vavuniya, and Rideethenna Iqrah College Punanai, participated in a special programme held at the Regimental Centre of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment in Ambepussa under the expert guidance of Major General Dinesh Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and closely supervised by Brigadier Chaminda Thibbotuge, Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.

Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Powerlifting Team emerged victorious in the ‘Army Inter-Regiment Bodybuilding, Weightlifting and Powerlifting Championship 2024', held from 22 to 24 October 2024 at the Army Indoor Stadium, Panagoda. The champions were warmly welcomed by the Regimental Centre with a resounding applause on 30 October 2024. Colonel C N Kathriarachchi RWP, Deputy Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment made a graceful gesture, extending his heartfelt wishes to the Powerlifting Champions.
