Warrant Officer 1 S S Pradeep of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment clinched the Overall Silver Medal at the Asia Pacific and African Power Lifting Championship 2025, while setting a new Sri Lanka record with an impressive total squat of 605 kg in the 59 kg weight class.
Brigadier H A I Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, Centre Commandant of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, on behalf of the Colonel of the Regiment, Major General J K R Jayakody RWP USP, conveyed heartfelt appreciation for Warrant Officer Pradeep’s exceptional dedication and remarkable achievement at the championship. To honor his outstanding performance and the pride he has brought to both the Nation and the Army, a special all-rank tea was organized on 21 July 2025 as a token of recognition and gratitude.
