Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) bade formal farewell to the retiring Brigadier M.G.W Wimalasena RSP and Brigadier A.M.S.D.B Adikari RSP after dedicating over 33 years and 31 years of invaluable service to the organization, respectively in a fitting ceremony which took place on 14 December 2023 at Regimental Centre, Ambepussa.

In remembrance of late Sergeant Senavirathna Banda AM who passed away on 07 February 2021 due to a nerve disorder whilst consuming long term medical treatments at army hospital Colombo while serving in the battalion, troops of 12 Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment erected a new house at Rikillagaskada locality to the widow and three children of the deceased and ceremonially bestowed it to the family on 14 October 2023 whereas, when this unique circumstances faced by the family of the late Sergeant, who did not have a home of their own.
