The Army Small Arms Association conducted the Rifle Range Officers’ Course from February 15 to 21 February 2024. Concurrently, the Inter Regiment Practical Rifle Shooting Competition - 2024 took place at the Diyathalawa Firing Range, where S/369860 Sergeant Karunarathna RDAS RSP served as an Assistant Range Officer. Remarkably, S/369860 Sergeant Karunarathna RDAS RSP secured the top position in Range Officer Category, marking the inaugural instance of an Other Ranker achieving such a feat in the Sri Lanka Army.

‘The 57th Army Road Race' commenced at the entrance of the Army HQ on 23 February 2024. The marathon, covering a distance of around 22 km from Battaramulla to the Panagoda Army Cantonment, participated by 131 runners representing 17 Regiments. Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment was able to secure the 2nd Runner-up position in the Marathon.

20th Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment organized a workshop at the Regimental Centre Indoor Stadium on 23 February 2024, focusing on refining the skills and knowledge of the Regiment Karate team. The primary objective behind this initiative was to prepare the team for the upcoming Inter Regiment Championship. The workshop was conducted under the supervision of Brigadier MPNA Muthumala USP psc, Chairman of the Regiment Karate Committee with the support of National Level Instructors and Referees.

The Warrant Officer II, S.S Pradeep of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment won 3 Silver medals and 1 Bronze medal in ‘Asian Powerlifting Championship - 2023’, held in Malaysia during 10 - 18 December 2023. Over 15 competitors representing Kazakhstan, Iran, India, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and China participated in the competition.
