A programme to commemorate International Women’s Day was conducted on 14 March 2026 at the Regimental Center of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment under the patronage of Mrs. Yamuna Abeykoon, President of the Sinha Seva Vanitha Branch. The event was attended by 110 spouses of Officers and Other Ranks.
During the programme, Police Inspector Malisha Herath of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) delivered an informative lecture on “Cyber Crimes.” In addition, a musical entertainment programme was organized for the enjoyment of the participants.
Furthermore, 21 winners were selected through a raffle draw, and valuable gifts were presented to them. Commemorative gifts symbolizing International Women’s Day were also distributed among all Seva Vanitha members who attended the event.
