  • SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE SHOWN THEIR COLOURS DURING THE DEFENCE SERVICES KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP - 2023

    The Defence Services Karate Championship – 2023 was held on 18 September 2023 and the four karate players of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police participated the championship and crowned SLCMP with 3 medals including Women Military Police Non Commissioned Officer. The prize awarding ceremony was held on 19 September (evening) at Air Force Health Management Centre Indoor Stadium Thunmulla.

  • THE SPECIAL INVESTIGATION UNIT- SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE CONDUCTED THE WORKSHOP ON CRIME INVESTIGATION

    The third workshop on crime investigation was conducted by the Special Investigation Unit under the direction of the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc and the close supervision of Commanding Officer Special Investigation unit, Colonel MMMP Mahesh Kumara at Ministry of Mass media lecture hall from 11.09.2023 to 19.09.2023.

  • LANCE CORPORALS TO CORPORALS PROMOTION COURSE PROVOST NO 72 WAS COMMENCED AT SCHOOL OF MILITARY POLICE

    Under the guidance of the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, The Lance Corporal to Corporal Promotion Course Provost 72 was Commenced on 18 September 2023 and scheduled to be terminated on 14 November 2023 at the School of Military Police with the participation of 61 eligible Non Commissioned Officers of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police.

  • THE 22ND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) OF SEVA VANITHA BRANCH - SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE

    The 22nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Seva Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police was held on 16th September 2023 at Regimental Headquarters with the participation of 38 members. The AGM was chaired by the president of the Seva Vanitha Branch - SLCMP, Mrs.Priyanthika De Zoysa.

  • SLCMP SHINE IN INTER REGIMNET WATER POLO CHAMPIONSHIP – 2023

    Finals of the Army Inter Regiment Water Polo Championship - 2023 took place from 9 September to 10 September at Army Cantonment swimming complex at Panagoda. The Chairman, Army Aquatics Sports Committee, Major General ACA DE Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc , the Provost Marshal of SL Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police attended the final awarding ceremony of the Army Inter Regiment Water Polo Championship as the Chief Guest and gave away trophies to the winners.

    Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police together with 2nd Regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police showing its compassion towards the well - being of one of the former SLCMP Soldier's family - Corporal Abeyrathna GMRS (Late), built a new house in Anguruwella area was handed over to the deserving widow, Mrs Dilani Priyashanthi Abeyrathna, a mother of two children who had been living without a proper shelter during a simple ceremony on 08 September (Morning) 2023.

    Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP), one of the most admired service Regiment of the SL Army which was raised 73 years ago in 1949 has evolved to become a fully-fledged Regiment consisting of Regimental Centre, Seven Units, Special Investigation Unit and School of Military Police. Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police has performed an exceptionally well in all spheres producing qualified Officers & soldiers to maintain the discipline of SL Army for last 7 decades. SLCMP traditionally values discipline, professionalism, loyalty and duty as its guiding principles and the sports have been its forte since inception. This regiment has produced a significant number of sportsmen and women to the nation who reached to the national as well as the international level achievements.

  • ARMY CHIEF VISITED THE REGIMENTAL CENTRE SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE

    The Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General H L V M Liyanage RWP RSP ndu paid his maiden visit to the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on Friday morning (01) September 2023. A Guard Turnout salute in accordance with military traditions, presented by SLCMP Regimental troops honoured the day’s Chief Guest on arrival at the entrance to the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police before he was warmly welcomed by the Provost Marshal of SL Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc. After the army chief accorded a Guard of honour in General Scarlet at the Parade ground of Regimental Centre.
