THE SEVA VANITHA BRANCH OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY CORPS OF AGRICULTURE AND LIVESTOCK LAUNCHED ANOTHER GREAT SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRAM.

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army Corp of Agriculture & Livestock organized a prosthetic limbs donation program under the direction, supervision and guidance of the president of Sri Lanka Army Corp of Agriculture & Livestock seva vanitha branch, Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge, on July 28, 2024 at the Walikanda Cultural Hall.

This service took place according to president of SVB SLACAL Mrs.Varuni Kulatunge,noble concept to look after the needs of the local residents of extremely difficult villages like Walikanda and Poonani, the heroic war heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation as well as the rehabilitated terrorist and uplift those lives.

The donation of 28 artificial limbs, a brain child of the President of the SVB of SLACAL was supported by the magnanimous contributions of Mr.H Aponsu & Dr.Sanjeew Rajapaksha who are all members of the Friends in Need Society & the Rotary club of Capital City. The program, jointly organized by the SFHQ (East) and SVB of SLACAL, touched the lives of 43 civilians & touched the hearts of all those present, when the recipients arrived on wheel chairs & walked away on their own feet.

Commander – Security Forces Headquarters (East), and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Corp of Agriculture & Livestock, Major General SA Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP and The president of the Sri Lanka Army Corp of Agriculture & Livestock Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge, graced the occasion as Chief Guests. Senior officers, officers, SVB members of SLACAL were all a part of this meritorious event.
