The Seva Vanitha Branch - Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture & Livestock conducted A donation program for 300 school children

A school equipment & book distribution program was held on 19th July 24, marking another milestone mission of the seva vanitha branch of SLACAL. It was organized with the intent of nuturing another social welfare concept initiated by the SLACAL SVB president Mrs.Varuni Kulatunge.

All essential school supplies needed for a whole year was distributed to 300 kids from 6 schools,namely Dammina, Nidanwala and Galthalawa primary schools from the Aralaganvilla area & Mallath Muslim College and Poonani Tamil College from the Poonani area. In addition,a snack pack, a bottle of milk & a lunch pack was given to each child. Encouragingly, religious harmony & ethnic unity was the theme of this multi ethnic ceremony

This generous donation was graciously supported by Dr.S Rajapaksha, Mr.Jaliya Bodinnagoda, Mr.V Perera & Mr.H de Silva from the Rotary Club of Capital City & Regent Teas(pvt) Ltd. The program was jointly organized by the SFHQ(East) & SVB SLACAL

Commander - Security Forces(East) & the Colonel Commandant of SLACAL Major General SA Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP graced the occasion as chief guest. Senior Officers of SFHQ (East) and SLACAL, and members of the SVB SLACAL participated in the programme
