VISHISTA SEVA VIBUSHANAYA AWARDED TO MAJOR GENERAL SHIRAN ABEYSEKERA RSP USP

VISHISTA SEVA VIBUSHANAYA විශිෂ්ට සේවා විභූෂණය (VSV) medal was awarded to the Director General Financial Management (DGFM) of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture & Livestock Major General WBSM Abeysekera RSP USP by the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe at President House Kandy for the unblemished record of moral and military conducted during a period of 34 years.

It is ordained that the Decoration shall be granted to Senior Officers of the Regular Force of the Army, Navy and Air Force of the Republic of Sri Lanka for exceptional, distinguished and loyal service provided they count not less than 25 years of service and possess an unblemished record of moral and military conduct. Recipient of the decoration will be entitled to use the symbol as "VSV" after his/her name.
