In the wake of an arduous endeavour, the School of Agriculture, the utmost Training Establishment where agrarians are groomed under varied streams of specialized agriculture courses for taking over their obligations of duties on the establishment behalf, leaped a remarkable step obtaining the course accreditation at the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) of Sri Lanka for the Spiritual Bio Dynamic Traditional Agriculture Field Assistant Course after approved the registration of the School of Agriculture and Livestock under the gazette notification No.887/8 dated 7th September 1995 by the Vocational Education Commission(TVEC).
Accordingly, the Spiritual Bio Dynamic Traditional Agriculture Field Assistant Course conduct in the School of Agriculture will receive National Vocational Qualification which is a unified qualification framework and recognized nationally and internationally. The NVQs are based on National Competency Standards identified by the industry stakeholders. This framework has been achieved by the School of Agriculture integrating technical/ vocational and higher education in consequence to a great effort of Director General Financial Management (DGFM) of the Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture & Livestock Major General WBSM Abeysekera RSP USP- Director Agriculture and Livestock Brigadier Arosha Rajapaksha RSP
along with – the Commandant of the School of Agriculture Leiutent Colonel DLCN Muththanthirige -SLACAL.
In the future, arrangements will be made to obtain these internationally and nationally(NVQ Levels) accreditation & recognized professional qualifications for all other courses conducted by the School of Agriculture -Kilinochchi.
