The Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock will take part in a farming drive aimed at cultivating over the lands owned to Sri Lanka Army to multiply food production and avert any shortage in the future.
As a result of that Army farm Pangolla, which is undercommand to Commanding Officer 1 SLACAL belonging to the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock , has started cultivation in the Pangolla army farm. Capt HGJP Kumara is the Officer incharge of Army farm Pangolla and is preparing the land for cultivation. The total land area of this farm consist of 31 acres.
Coconut is the main crop grown in this land and Chilli, Lady Fingers, Manioc, Sera, and Banana were cultivated as side crops in this land.
