COLONEL COMMANDANT MADE A FORMAL VISIT TO ARMY FARM YALA PALATUPANA

The Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock, making great strides by throwing its full weight behind the government's food security programme.The Director General Financial Management (DGFM) of the Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Major General WBSM Abeysekera RSP USP made a formal visit to Army Farm Yala Palatupana on 03 September 2022.

The Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by Commanding Officer of 2 (V) SLACAL Maj WAND Jayasundara VIR. Farm OC Yala Palatupana Captain LMRL Jayantha conducted a comprehensive briefing on the ongoing Agri projects and challengers to be faced in Army Farm Yala Palatupana.

The Colonel Commandant visited the camp premises and Mango sapling was planted by the Colonel Commandant to mark his first visit to Army Farm Yala Palatupana. Thereafter he addressed the troops in the camp.During his speech he empasized that full contribution and commitment of this newly established battalion and thanked all troops for working together for the betterment of the organization. Colonel Commandant been member of the board of management also visited Hotel Laya Safari to inspect ongoing renovations of hotel which is managed by Sri Lanka Army Laya Hotel chain.
