THE COLONEL COMMANDANT OF SLACAL VISITS 5 (V) SLACAL - KURUMBASIDDY KANKESANTHURAI

The Director General Financial Management (DGFM) of the Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock visited 5 (V) SLACAL on 13 August 2022.

The Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by Commanding Officer of 5 (V) SLACAL Lieutenant Colonel WPK Samaranayaka psc SLA and acaccorded with a drive pass at the entrance.  Commanding Officer of 5 (V) SLACAL conducted a comprehensive briefing on the ongoing Agri projects and challengers to be faced in new eatablishment.

The Colonel Commandant visited the camp premises and participated for all ranks tea.Thereafter he addressed the troops in the camp.During his speech he empasized that full contribution and commitment of this newly established battalion and thanked all troops for working together for the betterment of the organization.

Afterwards the Colonel Commandant visits SF headquarters Jaffna and met the Commander Security Force Headquarters Jaffna Major General WMGCSB Wijayasundara RSP USP ndu and discussed about the development of Agriculture in the area future projects of the Jaffna peninsula.

Colonel Commandant left a couple of thoughts and compliments in the Visitors’ Book before the culmination of the day's proceedings.
