REGIMENT OF SLACAL BID FAREWELL TO BRIGADIER GB LIYANAGE RSP

The guest night was held at the Laya Beach Resort - Wadduwa with the participation of the Senior Officers, Officers with their spouses on 21th May 2022 to the outgoing Centre Commandant Brig GB Liyanage RSP and the outgoing secretary of the Seva Vanitha Branch CAL Mrs. Nadee Liyanage with the participation of Major General WBSM Abeysekera RSP USP the Director General Financial Management (DGFM) of the Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and President Corps of Agriculture Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Shanthi Abeysekera along with Agrarian spouses, Council Members, Senior Officers and Officers joined the event to honour Brigadier Bandula Liyanage and his spouse Mrs. Nadee Liyanage.

Brigadier Bandula Liyanage will retire on 31 May 2022 after completing over 33 years in the Army.

During the speech Colonel Commandant appreciated the tremendous service of Brig GB Liyanage RSP and wished him for his future success further Colonel Commandant presented a memento to appreciate his great service rendered to the Corps of Agriculture and Livestock and to the whole nation as well Mrs. Shanthi Abeysekera presented a gift to the outgoing Secretary of SVB SLACAL for her dedicated services to the SVB .

Brig GB Liyanage RSP is one of the well educated and professionally qualified brigadier who render a remarkable service specially for the Corps of Agriculture and Livestock and assuming duties as the first Centre Commandant of this newly born regiment in Sri Lanka Army.

Further during the speech of Brig Bandula Liyanage he mentioned, the way he contributed his valuable service for the war in jaffna peninsula in 1995 as well as the commitment he made to uplift the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Regiment.
