VISIT TO UMANDAWA MAHA VIHARA PREMISES BY SLACAL SEVA VANITHA BRANCH

Members of the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Seva Vanitha branch visited the Umandawa Maha Vihara Ashram on 18th November 2021. The event was graced by the President Seva Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Mrs. Shanthi Abeysekera and spouses of Officers and Other Ranks. A presentation on functions of Umandawa Maha Viharaya as well as organic vegetable cultivation is outlined.

Afterwards, they were introduced to cooking using organic vegetables. Afterwards, they visited the Umandawa Maha Viharaya and finally the Seva Vanitha Chairperson and other members of the Seva Vanitha donated stationery to the Umandawa Maha Viharaya.

The purpose of this visit is to uplift the living standards of our Seva Vanitha branch members and their families by utilizing the knowledge gained there to start organic farming related production processes in the future and generate income streams.
