With the aim of further increasing the agricultural economy in our country, in order to increase food security a large number of projects were started. Accordingly, at the invitation of Major General WBSM Abeysekara RSP USP, Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army, graced the inaugural occasion as the Chief Guest and opened the Mobile Agri Shop by cutting the ribbon on 11th October 2022 in front of the Sri Lanka Army Headquarters car park premises.Mainly with the aim of providing Vegitables and Diary products for the army members at a reasonable price from the farms spread across the island under the Corps of Agriculture and Livestock. To be in line with the 73rd Army Anniversary, the mobile agri shop, parked near the vehicle park at the Army HQ at Pelawatte, Battaramulla will continue to remain open on every Tuesday and Friday from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
