BRIGADIER RMJB RATNAYAKE RSP ASSUMED DUTIES AS CENTRE COMMANDANT SLACAL

Brigadier Janaka Ratnayake RSP assumed office as the 2nd Centre Commandant of the newly established Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Regimental Centre on Tuesday 31 May 2022.

As the first segment of the military formalities, the Centre Commandant was greeted to a drive-pass at the main entrance to the HQ 2 (V) SLACAL.

Afterwhile, the Centre Commandant put his signature on an official document amidst religious blessings signifying the acceptance of new office as the Centre Commandant.

Thereafter he posed for a photograph with all staff officers who were present in the office in order to mark this significant occasion.

Centre Commandant addressed all ranks and emphasised the value of Corps of Agriculture and Livestock , fully operational for the express goal of elevating the country's agricultural sector to new heights and cater for the nation building task during an economic crisis in the country.

The Centre Commandant spoke to all Commanding Officers and the Staff Officers of RHQ SLACAL regarding the regimental matters pertaining to units.

The day's event culminated following an all rank tea held at Other Ranks’ Mess where the incoming Centre Commandant had a cordial interaction with all those who were present at the occasion. Senior Officers, Commanding officers and Staff officers of the Regimental Centre were present at the event.
