ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL SPELL OF SECOND REGIMENTAL COUNCIL MEETING CONCLUDED WITH HIGH RETURNS BY SLACAL

The Second Regimental Council Meeting Was held on 19th November 2022 at Regimental Centre - Karandeniya. Meeting was presided by *Director General Financial Management (DGFM) of the Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture & Livestock Major General WBSM Abeysekera RSP USP* while elucidating his strategy as the first Colonel Commandant for bringing more professional and cohesive output in the Sri Lanka Army from the field of Agriculture and Livestock with the presence of new Council members

Before commence the Council meeting Director A&L Brigadier Arosha Rajapaksha RSP has given a brief introduction about all the Army Farms and on going operational tasks of the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock.

Discussion was mainly focused on matters pertaining to career progression, training and administrative aspects.Special concern was paid at elevation of Regimental standards streamlining the functionalities of the Regiment with the aegis of farsighted leadership of the Colonel Commandant, during the meeting and preparation of officers for competitive selection examination, conduct of regimental function and infrastructure improvement were also deliberated.

A number of proactive decisions were taken at the meeting with a view to elevate regimental standards and necessary guidance is given by senior council members on the methodology to activate the same.For this event following senior Officers were participated as the Council members of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock.
