ADDING ANOTHER GLORIOUS PAGE IN SLACAL HISTORY FIRST COUNCIL MEETING WAS HELD AT RHQ SLACAL - KARANDENIYA

The Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock commenced the first Council Meeting by keeping another remarkable step forward for increase mechanization to bring more professional Corps of Agriculture. This will goes to the golden history of SLACAL.

Regimental Council Meeting Was held on 30th Aprial 2022 at Regimental Centre - Karandeniya. Meeting was presided by Director General Financial Management (DGFM) of the Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture & Livestock Major General WBSM Abeysekera RSP USP while elucidating his strategy as the first Colonel Commandant for bringing more professional and cohesive output in the Sri Lanka Army from the field of Agriculture and Livestock.

Discussion was mainly focused on matters pertaining to career progression, training and administrative aspects.Special concern was paid at elevation of Regimental standards streamlining the functionalities of the Regiment with the aegis of farsighted leadership of the Colonel Commandant, during the meeting and preparation of officers for competitive selection examination, conduct of regimental function and infrastructure improvement were also deliberated.

For this historical event following senior Officers were perticipated as the Council members of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock.
