Major General H L V M Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander Security Forces (Central) made his official visit to the 3 (V) Sri Lanka Singhe Regiment, Nuwara Eliya on 19 July 2021 after the assumption of duties as the Commander, Security Forces (Central). The General Officer Commanding of 11 Division, Major General K Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Brigadier General Staff of SFHQ (Central), Brigadier K A W S Rathnayake ndu, Brigade Commander of 112 Brigade, Brigadier Anura Disanayake and few more Officers also participated in this visit.

The Commander also met the Diyawadana Nilame of Temple of Tooth Relic and Governor of the Central Province. GOC of 11 Infantry Division, Major General K Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, BGS SFHQ (Central) Brigadier K A W S Rathnayake ndu, Brigade Commander 111 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier T M R B Rathnayake RWP RSP, Brigade Commander 112 Infantry Brigade Brigadier D A K Disanayake WWV RWP RSP along with Commanding Officers were present in this significant occasion.

Giving prominence to religious observances, Major General H L V M Liyanage RWP RSP ndu assumed the Office as the Commander Security Forces (Central) at an auspicious time scheduled on 09 July 2021. All the senior officers, officers and other ranks of Security Force Headquarters (Central) and under command Divisions, Brigades and Battalions welcomed the new Commander. The customary guard turnout was accorded by the troops of 10 Gajaba Regiment. The new Commander planted a Na tree sapling at the camp premises marking his assumption of duties and participated in the all rank tea following his inaugural address to the troops of the headquarters
