A sudden fire occurred in Keels Super in Nuwara Eliya on 18 April 2020 around 1230 hours was doused by the troops of the 3 (V) Sri Lanka Singhe Regiment on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP. A team consisting of three officers and fifteen soldiers reached the place immediately and doused the fire completely.

Due to the prevailing endemic situation in the Island, the blood stocks in the blood banks are getting lower. In order to control the situation, the contribution of the military personnel has been requested by the Director, National Blood Transfusion Service from the Commander of the Army.

A team consisting of 78 personnel was released from the quarantine centres at 1st Battalion the Gemunu Watch and Kahagolla on 11 April 2020. Further, they were released under medical instructions with the PCR test reports.

After 14 days quarantine process, 265 personnel were released under medical instructions from Rantembe and Pallekele Quarantine Centres on 02 and 03 April 2020. Further, the quarantine certificates were also issued before they left the premises.

The pilgrimage season of Sri Pada was commenced on Unduwap Full Moon Poya Day. The pilgrims from various areas visit the most sacred temple and the Nallathanniya road is polluted with the litter they have dropped. Therefore, aiming to clean the area and to recycle the garbage ‘Manusath Derana’ community project has launched a sharamadana campaign and the troops under command to Security Forces (Central) joined hands to make it success on 07 March 2020.

The intension of this workshop was to improve the knowledge of Administrative Assistants on clerical duties which are entrusted to them.

A sudden fire occurred in Hanthana mountain range in Kandy District, was controlled by the military personnel of 111 Brigade which is under command to Security Forces Headquarters (Central) on 10 February 2020. A team consisting of one Officer and twelve Other Ranks from 2 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment has taken prompt actions to douse the fire on the direction of Commander Security Forces (Central) and the supervision of the Brigade Commander of 111 Brigade.

A sudden fire occurred in Madhuwalpathana area in Bindunuwewa on 09 February 2020. Since the mentioned area is located within the responsible area of Security Forces (Central), the troops of 112 Brigade of Security Forces (Central) controlled the fire on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP VSV USP ndu as well as the instructions of the Brigade Commander of 112 Brigade. A team consisting of one officer and twenty soldiers took prompt actions to douse the wild fire completely.
