NEW GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 11 DIVISION ASSUMED DUTIES

Major General K Liyanage RWP RSP ndu assumed the office as the new General Officer Commanding of 11 Infantry Division on 07 May 2021 on auspicious time having the blessing of Noble Triple Gem. The new General Officer Commanding of 11 Infantry Division was awarded with a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour soon after his arrival in the premises in accordance with military traditions.After the formal military honours, Major General K Liyanage RWP RSP nduauspiciously took over duties as the 12th General Officer Commanding of 11 Infantry amid the religious observances and placed his signature in an official document to signify the acceptance of his new office.Then, Major General K Liyanage RWP RSP nduplanted a sapling to mark the assumption of duties and subsequently addressed the troops. Afterwards, he participated in an all rank tea table where he shared a couple of views with all ranks. Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and Divisional Staff of 11 Infantry Division attended the event being aligned with Covid- 19 preventive measures.
