On 25 January 2025, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers organized a donation programme for pregnant female soldiers and pregnant spouses of soldiers at the Regimental Centre SLE, Panagoda, under the guidance of the SLE Seva Vanitha President, Mrs. Lilanthi Dolage.
This welfare initiative benefited 68 personnel, providing them with essential items required for the forthcoming months, thereby extending timely support and care to expectant military mothers.
The programme was made possible through the generous contributions of Mr. A. P. Jayarajah, Chief Executive Officer of Nithyakalyani Jewellery, along with the representatives of the Rotary Club of Colombo East.
Beyond material assistance, the event strengthened unity, morale, and encouragement among military families, reflecting the enduring commitment of the Seva Vanitha Branch towards the well-being of service personnel and their families.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Major General S. Ranasinghe (Retd) RWP RSP ndu psc, former Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Mrs. Iromi Ranasinghe, former President of the SLE Seva Vanitha Branch, and members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, whose participation contributed significantly to the success of this meaningful welfare initiative.
