18TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS OF 10 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT

The 18th Anniversary celebrations of 10 Field Engineer Regiment were held at Myliddy on 03 August 2025. Showcasing glamour and pride in a grand scale. The anniversary day celebrations were commenced with Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour for the Commanding Officer of 10 Field Engineer Regiment Maj RRLD Rathnayake USP psc SLE graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Commanding Officer was received by the Second in Command Maj GBMP Galahitiya psc SLE. Group Photograph, Planting of Sapling and All Rank lunch were lined up in the rest of the programme.

The Commanding Officer extended his gratitude during the troop address by remembering the immense commitment of Officers and Other Ranks during their courageous and enthusiastic commitments taken throughout to uplift the standard of the Regiment at all the time. He highlighted the extraordinary contribution of the Sappers during the flawless nation building projects within Security Forces (Jaffna) AOR.

The Commanding Officer and All Ranks received the blessing from Bodhi Pooja held at unit temple and Mavadipuram Hindu Kovil. Dry and fresh rations, sanitary items were donated to senior citizen at Sivapoomi Elders Home at Keeramalei.

Inter-Squadron cricket tournament and volleyball tournament were held within the camp premises. A vivid musical show was organized at a grand scale to reduce the monotonous of soldiers and as an appreciation of their commitment for the anniversary day celebrations.
