The Chief Field Engineer and General Officer Commanding of Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division Major General TC Peiris RSP USP made an official visit to the 4(V) Engineer Regiment, Borupana, Rathmalana on 21 May 2025. He was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer of 4 (V) Engineer Regiment, Lt Col HPU Dasanayake USP SLE and was accorded a Guard Turnout in his honour.
As part of the itinerary, all officers of the unit were introduced By the Commanding Officer and then Major General T C Peiris joined with the Officers and Senior NCOs for a group photograph to mark the occasion. After that, a comprehensive briefing was followed by the Commanding Officer about the unit history, duties, current projects, training programs, and unit administration.
Later, Maj Gen Chandika Peiris addressed all the officers and other ranks of the unit. In his speech, He emphasized that online gambling may lead to significant money problems as victims may spend more than they could afford, chasing losses or hoping for a big win. He was advised to avoid from these situations and spend the military and personal life in good way. At the end of the address, Commanding Officer of 4(V) Engineer Regiment presented a memento to the Chief Field Engineer of Sri Lanka Army. Afterwards he visited to the camp premises.
Finally, Following the formal proceedings, the Chief Field Engineer and the Officers engaged in a meaningful interactive session. This session was followed by lunch at Officers’ mess. The visit concluded with the Chief Field Engineer signing the Visitors’ Book, where he expressed his appreciation for the professionalism, dedication, and valuable service rendered by 4(V) Engineer Regiment.
