SRI LANKA ARMY ENGINEER DIVISION CONDUCTED A ONE- DAY LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAMME

As per the direction of Directorate of Training, Army Headquarters and the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division, Major General SPG Gamage RWP RSP USP, a leadership training programme was conducted for 36 trainers including 20 Buddhist theros and 16 after advanced level students of Nagananda International Institute of Buddhist Studies (NIIBS) on 21st January 2025 at the Nagananda International Institute, Kelaniya.

The training programme was conducted focusing enhance the leadership skills and ability of training students in order to employ them for future society in efficient manner. The programme was encompassed with a leadership lecture, and Out Bound Training which consist challenging team activities where participant have to work together as a team to overcome challenges and learn from their experience based on critical thinking skills.

Moreover, trainers assessed by discussing realistic feed-backs as they progress by using all the positive outcomes which they collect during the training programme. The Deputy Vice Chancellor and the Staff of NIIBS extended their heart felt gratitude and appreciation to the Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division for accepting their invitation and exceptional contribution to conduct a highly impact one-day training programme.
