COMMANDER PLANT ENGINEER BRIGADE VISITED ONGOING PLANT WORKS AT REGIONAL ORDNANCE DEPOT COMPLEX, PUNANI

Colonel KASJ Kodithuwakku USP ptsc, the Commander, Plant Engineer Brigade, visited ongoing 7 Field Engineer Regiment plant project at Regional Ordnance Depot Complex, Punani on 21 November 2024.

The project was started on 10th October 2024 to fill the soil over the 15 number of Igloo shape ammunition dumps located at Regional Ordnance Depot complex Punani, in order to ensure the protection during any emergency.

During the visit, the Brigade Commander conducted a detail inspection in each and every aspects of the task and passed necessary instructions to speedup the project in order to complete it prior the year end. Further, given certain guidelines to do the detail analysis of the plant works in order to achieve the maximum efficiency and effectiveness of the employed machines.

While addressing the plant operators and drivers at the site, Brigade Commander highlights the importance of the project and strictly instructed about the safety of the troops, proper maintenance and careful usage of the plant machines to minimize the frequent breakdowns.
