FAREWELL FOR THE OUTGOING COMMANDANT OF THE SRI LANKA SCHOOL OF MILITARY ENGINEERING

34th Outgoing Commandant of the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering, Colonel TDP Siriwardene psc, was saluted in accordance with military traditions on the 18th of November 2024.

The event began with a formal troop address, during which he thanked all ranks for the support they had extended during his tenure. He also encouraged them to cooperate with the incoming Commandant in the same manner, while continuing to safeguard the reputation of the SLSME.

Afterward, the outgoing Commandant, Colonel Pradeepa Siriwardene psc, was warmly welcomed to an all ranks tea party at the NCO’s Club – SLSME, where he was presented with a souvenir on behalf of all ranks at the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering.

In the evening, the main event was the farewell dinner held at the Officers’ Mess. The farewell speech was delivered by the Chief Instructor - Major Charith Cabraal psc SLE, in appreciation of the tremendous service rendered by Colonel Pradeepa Siriwardene psc to the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering. Following this, a souvenir was presented to the outgoing Commandant, on behalf of all Officers of the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering.
