With aim of train the first responders for manage the Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear incident with effective procedures to mitigate the hazardousness for the public and properties. For that, the basic course has design to practice take immediate decisions for response with available resources.
Under the guidance of the Engineer Division and the supervision of the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering, the Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Response Basic Course No: 09 has concluded on 29 October 2024 with qualifying 23 other ranks. The course has conducted with collaboration Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Board, Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Regulatory Council, National Authority for Implementation of Chemical Weapon Convention and the Ministry of Health by covering 21 working days.
The certificates awarding ceremony was graced by Colonel General Staff of Engineer Division and the Overlooking Commandant of Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering, Colonel J A C S Jagoda psc as Chief Guest and accompanied by the Commanding Officer of 14 CBRNE Response Regiment Major M J Salgadu RSP USP SLE.
