Inter Regiment Body Building Championship 2024 got underway on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at the Army Physical Training School Gymnasium in Panagoda. This prestigious event brought together elite competitors from various regiments, showcasing their physical prowess and determination in the field of bodybuilding. The competition featured multiple weight categories, with each participant vying for the top spot and the honor of representing their respective regiments.
A notable highlight of the event was the exceptional performance by Sapper Senarathne SM of 6 Field Engineer Regiment represented the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers clinched the Gold Medal in the fiercely contested 90 kg weight category, marking a significant achievement for both himself and the Corps. His remarkable display of strength, physique, and discipline set him apart from the other competitors, earning him the top honor.
The Commander of the Security Forces (West) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc congratulated on his outstanding accomplishment and extended his best wishes, acknowledging the hard work, dedication, and commitment.
