SAPPERS CLINCH 2nd PLACE AT THE NATIONAL CIRCLE KABADDI CHAMPIONSHIP 2024

The National Circle Kabaddi Championship 2024, an anticipated event in the country's sporting calendar, took place at the Kurunegala Udawalpola Stadium on the 22nd and 23rd October 2024 organized by the National Kabaddi Association. The event saw teams from across the nation competing fiercely for the title, and amidst tough competition, the Sappers Kabaddi Team, representing the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, made an impressive mark by securing the 2nd place, showcasing their strength, strategy, and teamwork throughout the competition.

The Sappers, renowned for their discipline and teamwork, displayed exceptional prowess throughout the tournament. Their journey to the finals with Army Kabaddi team marked by a series of intense matches where they overcame strong opposition teams. The players representing the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers were:

The Commander of Security Forces (West) and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the team. Further, Sappers’ remarkable performance in the series, serves as an inspiration to aspiring sportsmen within the military and beyond, showcasing the importance of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance in achieving sporting excellence.
