7 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT’S DRY RATION DONATION PROGRAM SUPPORTS BOTH SOLDIERS AND CIVILIAN STAFF

Under the esteemed concept of Mrs. Surangi Amarapala, President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, a significant welfare project was organized to support selected troops and civilian employees of the 7 Field Engineer Regiment. This initiative took place on 12th October 2024, at the unit premises, under the guidance of Major W M A B Warnasooriya USP psc SLE, the Commanding Officer.

The project aimed to provide essential support to the families of those in need, reflecting the regiment's commitment to the welfare of its personnel. During the event, generous donations of dry rations and stationery, valued at Rs. 60,000.00, were distributed to assist the families of deserving soldiers and civilian staff. This initiative not only addressed immediate needs but also fostered a sense of community and solidarity within the regiment.

The gathering saw the participation of senior officers and their spouses and the event concluded with a tea and a lunch, offering an opportunity for camaraderie among attendees.
