The Field Engineer Brigade proudly marked 36th anniversary this year, surpassing yet another milestone by showcasing glamour and pride in grand scale on 29 September 2024. Series of activities took place to make the event a success, comprising military formalities, religious and sports activities were organized with the participation of the Field Engineer Brigade Commander, Colonel H K P Karunathilaka RSP as the Chief Guest.
The celebrations unfolded with inter wing cricket tournament followed by the Brigade Commander and all ranks receiving blessings from sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodiya, Ruwanweli Maha Chaitya at Anuradhapura and Hindu Kovil at Boo Oya camp premises.
In keeping with military demeanour, on the anniversary day, the Commander Field Engineer Brigade was accorded with a Guard Turnout, at the main entrance. Moreover, adding more colour to the event a Troop Address, Group Photograph, Planting of a sapling and All Ranks Lunch were lined up with the schedule.
The brief series of anniversary commemoration concluded with a vibrant musical night with the participation of all officers, other ranks and civilian employees at brigade premises which was organized with the aim of reducing monotony of soldiers and as an appreciation for their commitment towards the brigade in every aspect.
