FULFILLING A LONGSTANDING NEED: INAUGURATION OF THE NEWLY CONSTRUCTED OFFICERS' MESS KITCHEN COMPLEX BY MAJOR GENERAL LANKA AMARAPALA RWP RSP ndc psc

Inauguration of newly constructed Officers Mess Kitchen Complex was taken place on Tuesday, 1st October 2024 and the event was graced by the Commander Security Forces (West) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc as the Chief Guest.

The unveiling of a commemorative plaque by Major General Lanka Amarapala which now stands as a symbol of the hard work and dedication invested in the project, was a significant moment. This was followed by the symbolic cutting of a ribbon was officially marked the opening of the newly constructed Officers’ Mess Kitchen Complex.

This inauguration is seen as a fulfilment of a longstanding need for upgraded and more efficient facilities to serve the Officers of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers. Therefore, the need for a modernized kitchen was of paramount importance, and the successful refurbishment reflects the commitment to continually improving the quality of life for Sapper Officers.
