Under the inclusive framework of recognizing and appreciating the outstanding performance displayed by Sappers during courses and Sports, was praised by the Commander Security Forces (West) and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc on Friday, 13th September 2024 at the Regimental Centre, Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.
In that, Sapper Jayatissa Y S K belongs to 4(V) Engineer Regiment secured the 1st in Order of Merit in Advance Physical Training Instructor Course No. 47 conducted at the Army Physical Training School - Panagoda, awarded with a cash prize for her excellent performances in the course.
Following Other Ranks were awarded with privilege cash prizes for their representation for the nation in International level sports.
Lance Corporal Herath H M D A of 4(V) SLE for representing for International Judo Championship to be held in Thailand.
Corporal Dayananda T G T C of 11 SLE for representing of 20th Asian Karate Championship to be held in China.
The session served as a platform to individually commend and reward for their outstanding contributions, fostering a culture that values excellence within the military ranks as Sappers.
