PASSING OUT CEREMONY OF MINE DETECTION DOG HANDLER COURSE NO 08

Passing out parade of ‘Mine Detection Dog Handler Course No 08’ held on 20 August 2024 at Field Engineer Brigade in Boo Oya. The Commander Field Engineer Brigade, Colonel H K P Karunatilake RSP graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Mine Detection Dog Handler Basic Course No 08 conducted under the directions and guidance of the Chief Field Engineer and the Commander Engineer Division. 01 x 11 Dog Handlers and 06 Belgian Malinois mine detection dogs passed out successfully and dog handlers received their certificate and badges from the Chief Guest. During the ceremony, special display of mine detection dogs depicting their skills and underway adding thrill to the occasion. The show was focused on its mine detection technique, basic obedience drill and capability of crossing the obstacles of unprecedented nature.

Finally, the Chief Guest addressed the passed out troops while appreciating the commendable efforts and dedications of instructors and dog handlers for bringing down required standard of mine detection dogs.
