Major General T C Peiris RSP USP assumed duties as the sixth General Officer Commanding of the Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division on 18 July 2024, according to the military customs and traditions at the Mattegoda camp premises.
Major General T C Peiris RSP USP was accorded a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honor as a salute to the incoming General Officer Commanding. Subsequently, assumed duties with the blessing of Triple Gem, posed for group photograph and planted a sapling to symbolized the occasion.
Further, he addressed the troops and highlighted his scope of works and duties in the days to come. In concluding the day’s itinerary, General Officer Commanding had an interaction with the Officers and Other Ranks during the reception of tea.
