Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers bid a heartfelt farewell to Brigadier S D P C Arachchige on 14 June 2024, marking the conclusion of his distinguished military service spanning over three decades.
The day's proceedings commenced with a Guard Turnout and a colourful ceremonial parade at the Regimental Parade Ground, followed by a convivial tea party at the Officers' Mess, attended by Senior Officers and Officers of the Corps.
A farewell dinner, graced by Sapper Officers and their spouses, was hosted in honor of the retiring Senior Officer. Director General Financial Management and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, delivered the farewell note, expressing deep gratitude for the retiring Senior Officer's exemplary service. Brigadier S D P C Arachchige, in response, extended his thanks to the Colonel Commandant and all ranks for the unwavering support throughout his tour of duty.
