CHIEF FIELD ENGINEER VISITS THE 7 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT

Major General P P A Perera Hdmc psc, the Chief Field Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army, undertook the visit to 7 Field Engineer Regiment, Batuoya, Minneriya on 13 June 2024. The visit commenced with a drive pass, followed by a warm welcome from Major W M A B Warnasooriya USP psc, the Commanding Officer of 7 FD SLE.

During his address to the troops, the Chief Field Engineer reminisced his past experiences and the lessons he had learned throughout his military career. He highlighted the importance of financial management and having interpersonal communication to strengthen the bond between soldiers. After that, in a symbolic gesture the Chief Field Engineer planted a sapling to commemorate the visit.

All ranks tea allowed the Chief Field Engineer to interact informally with soldiers. The Chief Field Engineer expressed his heart felt gratitude to the amazing hospitality he received during the period of the visit. Then the visit concluded with signing of the visitor's book and followed by a group photograph of all officers in 7 FD SLE.
