8 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT VESAK LANTERN WINS SECOND PLACE AT VESAK ZONE VAVUNIYA

Security Force Headquarters - Wanni in collaboration with the Buddhist association of Vavuniya has organized Vesak celebrations in Vavuniya. to decorate Vavuniya town and its suburbs.

The commence of the series of events with the presence of The Commander Security Forces Headquarters Wanni, Major General W P A D W Nanayakkara RSP VSP USP ndu, Senior Officers, all ranks of the AOR and a large gathering of devotees and sightseers on 23 May 2024.

The ‘Vesak’ Lantern of the 8 Field Engineer Regiment achieved the second place of the Vesak lantern competition organized by the Buddhist Association of Vavuniya.
