Brigadier S P G Gamage RWP RSP USP, the outgoing Centre Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, bid farewell amidst military formalities on 1 May 2024, at the Regimental Centre.
The outgoing Centre Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Centre Commandant, Colonel R M Subasinghe RSP, after he was greeted in a Guard Turnout at the entrance. Subsequently, he laid a flower wreath in remembrance of fallen War Heroes.
The troops of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers honored the outgoing Centre Commandant with a colorful parade at the parade square. During the parade, he addressed the troops and expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him during his tenure.
The event was followed by an all-ranks tea held at the Sappers’ Mess, with the participation of many Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of the Corps.
